Hope restored brings a heart of thanksgiving. Isaiah 57:15 says, “I restore the crushed spirit of the humble and revive the courage of those with repentant hearts.” Nothing or no one is beyond God’s redemption for restoration. When you turn your actions, thoughts, and meditations on the Lord, hope is restored. Hold on, God knows what He’s doing. Join us as the Bible comes to life through the lives of Biblical characters. G.A.L.S. will have two guest speakers. Joe LaFarge, BISD High School Teacher of the Year 2016, will present Daniel in the lions’ den. Rebekah Phillips, a double-lung transplant survivor, will share her story of hope.

The night is often misused but there is no time of darkness for the righteous. Many famous events from the birth of Christ to His teachings and resurrection occurred at night. The G.A.L.S. will present “Eventful Nights from the Bible.” Use your imagination and dress up in non-scary costumes for added fun.

It’s that time of the year … when the sun has you feeling tired and zapped! Do you need a vacation or tips to beat the summer heat? GALS will share some cool ideas. Come and be refreshed at our Luau luncheon on August 1^st. Hawaii has always been known as a paradise, however, the SON, Jesus, is preparing the ultimate paradise for believers. Really, we can’t stop the heat from coming, but we can share practical and spiritual precautions to take. So, put on your hula skirt and lei and learn how to protect yourself by keeping close to the SON, Jesus.
